About EOTC MBW North America

EOTC MBW North America (Mahibere Beale Wold North America) is a spiritual association of the North American Diocese of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. The organization was established in accordance with Article 2(a) and 2(d) of the regulations governing associations and Sunday schools issued by the Holy Synod in Ethiopian Year 1991 (1998–1999 Gregorian Calendar).

Founded on the principles of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, EOTC MBW North America is committed to strengthening the spiritual life of its members, preserving the rich traditions and teachings of the Church, and promoting Christian fellowship among Ethiopian Orthodox faithful throughout North America.

In addition to its ecclesiastical mission, EOTC MBW North America is a legally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization registered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of the United States. As a nonprofit organization, we dedicate our resources and efforts to supporting the mission of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church through charitable, educational, humanitarian, and community service initiatives.

For more than 22 years, EOTC MBW North America has faithfully served the Church by:

  • Supporting Ethiopian Orthodox traditional religious education (Abenet Temhert Bet).
  • Promoting Orthodox Christian education and spiritual formation.
  • Organizing annual spiritual conferences, seminars, and educational programs.
  • Developing youth leadership and encouraging active participation in Church life.
  • Supporting church construction, renovation, and preservation projects.
  • Providing humanitarian assistance to communities affected by famine, poverty, and other hardships in Ethiopia.
  • Preserving and promoting the ancient faith, traditions, liturgy, and heritage of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.

Our mission is to glorify God by serving His Church, strengthening Orthodox Christian faith, supporting those in need, and preparing future generations to faithfully continue the spiritual and cultural legacy of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.

Guided by the teachings of Holy Scripture and the sacred traditions of the Church, EOTC MBW North America remains dedicated to fostering unity, service, education, compassion, and spiritual growth among Ethiopian Orthodox faithful across North America and beyond.
