EOTC Mahibere Bealeweld (MBW) Washington, DC, is honored and delighted to welcome clergy, delegates, youth, and members from across North America to the 22nd Annual EOTC MBW North America Assembly, taking place July 17 – 20, 2026, in Washington, DC.

This year’s Assembly provides a unique opportunity for members to come together in faith, fellowship, and unity as we discuss the current challenges and future direction of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Through prayer, dialogue, and collaboration, we seek to strengthen our commitment to serving God, preserving our sacred traditions, and preparing the next generation to carry forward the rich heritage of our Church.

For the past 21 years, EOTC MBW North America has successfully held 21 annual assemblies, bringing together faithful members from across the United States and Canada. Throughout these years, countless lives have been touched and transformed through the organization’s spiritual, educational, and charitable efforts.

By the grace of God and the dedication of its members, churches in Ethiopia have received vital support, a traditional Orthodox church school (Abenet Timhirt) has been built from the ground up, and assistance has been provided to those affected by famine and hardship. These accomplishments reflect the commitment of EOTC MBW North America to serving both the Church and the wider community.

Each annual assembly unites hundreds of members around a common purpose: to support, preserve, and pass on the teachings and traditions of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, one of the oldest Christian churches in the world. Together, members continue to strengthen the faith, promote Orthodox values, and ensure that future generations remain rooted in the rich spiritual heritage of the Church.

Throughout the Assembly, participants will enjoy a spiritually enriching and educational program featuring distinguished clergy and renowned Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church scholars who will share inspiring sermons, biblical teachings, and practical guidance for Christian living.
